Open circuit cooling towers are cooling units that cool down a mass of industrial water to high temperatures through direct contact with air. The encounter of sucked or pushed air with water causes partial evaporation of the same ( 3-4%) that then cools down the remaining water mass (the latent heat of evaporation). It is sent back to the initial process to absorb heat again and start the cycle once more. Mainly used in process cooling or air conditioning (HVAC), Decsa's open circuit cooling towers are available in TMA-EU and SQA models (equipped with axial fans) and in TMR model equipped with centrifugal fans. All available series, made of galvanised sheet steel, feature high-efficiency heat exchanger fill packs and an optimal L/G ratio. The development of increasingly high-performance fill packs allows us to work today with approaches close to 2K, ensuring cooling water outlet temperatures that are increasingly close to the reference wet bulb temperature (WBT) values.

Closed circuit cooling towers are cooling systems mainly used in industrial or HVAC applications which cool down process water and dissipate excess heat by using a mass of cold air. Being closed circuit cooling systems, the process water remains inside the circuit and is therefore free from contamination or external agents. Therefore, differently from open circuit cooling towers, in closed circuit cooling towers the process water, remaining inside the heat exchanger, stays isolated from the external environment, clean and free from any contamination that would otherwise damage or contaminate the process components. Decsa has a wide range of models of closed-circuit cooling towers: the REF-A series, equipped with axial fans, and the REF-C series, equipped with centrifugal fans. For both types, Decsa enhances the evaporation of water within the plants by using high efficiency "full surface" HDGS coils and optimising the L/G ratio at best. Reliability and quality are also guaranteed by the UNI EN ISO 9001 and UNI EN ISO 14001 certifications and the use of heat exchanger coils designed with spark-welded tubes of excellent quality EN ISO 12305-3 grade E235 and subject to strict quality controls. The coils are also built according to the Decsa standards, which guarantee pressure tightness up to 25 bar and use at operating pressures up to 7 bar.

Decsa evaporative condensers are heat exchangers that dissipate the heat required for condensate refrigerant gases, such as ammonia. Since they transform refrigerant gases from a gaseous to a liquid state, they are suitable for industrial refrigeration and cold chain processes, ensuring reliability, high efficiency, and low operating costs. Available in the CFR-A series with axial fans and the CFR-C series with centrifugal fans, Decsa evaporative condensers stand out on the market for the low noise level of the fans used, the high quality of the coils used and the efficient energy performance. All the machines supplied by Decsa also ensure easy and quick maintenance of the various units and guarantee minimum transport costs. Besides the UNI EN ISO 9001 and UNI EN ISO 14001 quality certifications, our CFR-A and CFR-C series comply with the highest standards of Directive 2014/68/EU, which guarantees the pressure tightness of the coils used up to 40 bar and their use with operating pressures up to 28 bar.
