Onfly‘s communication has a new look! The BIM&CO team is proud to unveil the new logo for its flagship tool, reflecting the values that it shares with its clients and partners. On a daily basis, the company utilises the tools at its disposal to respond to the challenges of digital transformation, together with its 200 active clients on Onfly. Designed entirely around its brand, here BIM&CO reveals the thinking behind this new addition.
Paris, France – 4th of March 2021
First deployed more than a year and a half ago, the innovative shared library management solution, “Onfly“, is asserting its visual identity. The fruit of a process of reflection that took place over several months, attests Camille, UX/UI Designer at BIM&CO: “We knew we had to tell the story of our product, around which we would build the rest, from our users’ requirements to our corporate culture“.
New logo of 2021
A desire to communicate the company’s values
The light blue circle element in this new logo was selected for its virtuous and universal symbolism: the notion of an architectural project, of a BIM project, and the creation of a digital product. It was about creating a simple, shared form that speaks to everyone, illustrating how easy the Onfly tool is to use. As for its round and universal form, this is intended to invite several different trades and professions to make use of the tool, such as AEC and manufacturers. What’s more, the virtuous cycle illustrates the fact that Onfly enables users to capitalise on past projects in order to construct the future.
The Onfly values reflect the vision of Baptiste Mullie, CEO of BIM&CO:
“We are convinced that it is the reusability of data and materials that will allow us to overcome the major environmental and economic challenges that are facing the construction industry.”
As for the navy blue coma, it is an extension of the dark green “droplet” from the BIM&CO logo, making this component the first building brick for this new visual identity. This reference to the logo of the company that created the tool allows us to demonstrate its employees’ pride when it comes to their heritage: “In order to know where you’re going, you have to know where you’ve come from“.
This extended droplet symbolises the team and the users of Onfly, who continue to write the history of the tool together. As such, this element represents a genuine point of connection between several universes, where different skill sets come together and value is created. It is a place of exchange, where everyone speaks a common and universal language, which incidentally also reflects the international dimension of BIM&CO. According to Camille, this droplet represents “a crossroads, a shared space where two different worlds come together: manufacturers and design offices”.
A simplified logo for clients and partners
This logo, which facilitates the communication of the moral and societal principles upon which the company is founded, has been simplified. In fact, in always prioritising its clients and partners, BIM&CO also required a logo that was easier for them to identify when looking at its product.
Thanks to this new design, the Onfly logo allows the company to simultaneously transmit a corporate image, while communicating the dynamism of both BIM& CO and its flagship tool.
